Illustrator, writer and director Behiç Ak was commissioned by Paşabahçe to create tableware inspired by different regions of Turkey. Inspired by Istanbul, each of the 6 cups in this set depict a different sight of the city, matched with a different coloured saucer.
This type of teacup is used overwhelmingly over any other vessel for tea in Turkey and is called İnce Belli in Turkish, translating to Narrow Waisted.
